Contest Objective: Amateurs worldwide contact and exchange QSO information with other amateurs using any digital mode (excluding RTTY) that supports the 4-digit Grid Square exchange — attended operation only — on the 160, 80, 40, 20, 15, 10, and 6-meter bands (Technicians are limited per FCC Rules to the 10 and 6-meter bands). Any station may work any other station. Stations may only be worked once per band, regardless of mode. Automated operation is not permitted — each claimed contact must include contemporaneous direct initiation by the operator on both sides of the contact.

If you have a question about a mode of operation, equipment, or anything amateur radio-related subject; chances are this group can help or point you in the right direction.
The Bear Valley Springs Emergency Radio Team (BVS ERT) consists of FCC-licensed amateur radio operators in Bear Valley Springs, Tehachapi City, and adjacent communities that volunteer their radio relay skills in the event of an emergency. If you would like to participate or become a member of the team, join us on-air or via Echolink and wait for the call for “Guests” to check-in. You will need to identify yourself with your call sign, first name, and whether or not you would be available if there was an actual emergency that night on the net.
The net is held every Sunday night at 7:00 pm (1900 hours) on the W6SLZ 2m Repeater. The repeater information is: 146.700(-), PL 123.0 (EMCOMM backup 145.580 simplex)
Join us for the Tehachapi Amateur Radio Associations monthly breakfast at Gracian’s Grill in Tehachapi. It’s a great opportunity to meet with friends and fellow “Ham” Radio operators from in and around the Tehachapi area. Good food, great people, and awesome conversations. Our monthly breakfast(s) have resumed and are held on the second (2nd) Saturday of every month at Gracian’s Grill at 8:30 am (PDT). While an RSVP is not required, we’d love to know how many people can make it so that we can prepare the staff. See you there and bring your appetite. 73’s!
