The Cal OES Earthquake Program is providing NEHRP funding to the Disaster Resistant Business Toolkit to host 2 webinars, the first on May 10, 2022 and the second on May 25, 2022, to provide businesses with a tool to prepare for earthquakes and reduce potential earthquake impacts. This no-cost webinar provides free resources, including a new mobile tool to aid in planning business resilience.

Following a damaging earthquake, the California Post-Earthquake Clearinghouse is a location where engineers, geologists, seismologists, sociologists, economists, and other professionals who arrive in the affected area can become part of a larger, temporary organization (the Clearinghouse) to facilitate and coordinate the gathering of information and maximize its availability.

2023 Great California ShakeOut Earthquake Drill!

At 10:20 a.m. on October 20, 2022, millions of
people will “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” in The
Great ShakeOut, the world's largest earthquake
drill ever! All non-profit organizations are
encouraged to participate in the drill (or plan a
more extensive exercise) and to inform the public
about the drill.
